New beta version of FW174.75 for Vista x86 from NVIDIA get my mind long time with question: wath new NVIDIA cook for us...
But only bad news for this time. At first, hot beta block selecting of stereo hardware, only anaglyf may work (you'll see warning message each time you run game). Only Zalman's monitors may work in native stereo (interlaced for them) :-(.
Not very deep view inside driver get the answer - NVIDIA "tired" to work for free and dicide to get some money from stereo-hardware sellers (Zalman for this time). In new version of "stereo-unlocker", named "Geforce_3D_StereoE_WinVista_174.75.exe" in Zalman site, some security implemented:

What means this key I don't know, but how security work at all we may guess: driver check identification info from monitor and comper it to stereo mode, if it from "selected list".
What about the driver themself, it delivered with dedicated "stereo-unlocker" as before. Stereo-settings panel not integrated to NVIDIA driver panel, but dedicated to extern application for now:

Some functionality were throw out, like Frequency/Resolution table for CRT monitors... Stereo-test and NVIDIA-logo test application and picture viewer haven't changed.
Also "stereo-unlocker" only for x86 Vista not for x64 :-(.
Looking to the games (short view). It wonderfull, but as many years ago under Windows XP it work good with old T&L games, like Mafia! It good news for melancholics like me ;-)... But more modern games may have problems: Prey (OpenGL) won't to work in stereo (it seems like beta version trouble). Settlers II (Direct3D, DirectX 9) work without any problems.
At last, may conclude, that borning of long-waited stereo driver for Vista from NVIDIA don't give good news for most of stereo-community with old school (exept Zalman users ;-) ). As for me, there will no good news from NVIDIA in near future... It's time to by iZ3D :)???
