I received several reports about problems with Dual Output plugin working in fullscreen under Windows Vista+. Common symptoms - one of the output (left or right) become significantly delayed or completely frozen after switching to fullscreen.

I need clarify situation that this is NOT a bug in sView but in the video drivers! You may be surprised by the program do nothing but just resizes its windows. The root cause of problems is in buggy optimizations that video drivers tries to perform when them detect fullscreen 3D application.

Known buggy drivers:

- NVIDIA GeForce 275.33 WHQL - content of second window become completely frozen in fullscreen. Try to rollback to 260.99 or test newer versions.

- AMD Catalyst releases from 10.10 to 11.05 - content of second window become choppy in fullscreen. Problem seams to be fixed in Catalyst 11.06 release.

New version of sView is now coming soon! I need about one month to prepare new release and so july is a good term.

Here is development snapshot of new version - sViewSetup_v.9.5dev25a.exe

sView doesn't has GUI at this moment and could have critical errors. Video-decoding processed on CPU, so you'll need a powerful CPU for HD video. Recommended video ram is 256MB. You'll need OpenGL 2.0 GPU now.

Remove old sView before installation new one. sView will be associated with 'jps', 'pns', 'avi' and 'wmv' files.

New stereo-device support list:

  • Anaglyph(use F1,F2,... for variations);
  • Dual output, mirror output;
  • Interlaced output, autodetection for Zalman and Hyundai monitors (please contact me if not), EDimensional onscreen codes, Sharp monitor (launch sView with interlace output and press F3; please contact me if you have this monitor)
  • iZ3D monitors, autodetection;
  • NVIDIA stereo-driver, do not use it (experimental);
  • software PageFlip; EDimensional onscreen codes; BlueLine sync code (from Apple code sample, not tested);
  • QuadBuffered for professional cards;
  • Vuzix SDK, VR920;

But only bad news for this time. At first, hot beta block selecting of stereo hardware, only anaglyf may work (you'll see warning message each time you run game). Only Zalman's monitors may work in native stereo (interlaced for them) :-(.
